One thing that is often lost on our profession is that we are in the “care” business. Legal problems cause people to experience a great deal of stress and anxiety, both financially and emotionally. As an attorney who is exclusively to devoted to representing individuals and businesses that are involved in legal disputes, my objective is to provide service that emphasizes the word “care”.
In my practice, “care” manifests itself in several ways. Nearly all of my clients have my cell phone number and are encouraged to contact me when it is convenient for them and not me. I routinely meet with clients at night and on weekends. The relevant law, procedures and strategy are shared and explained in a way that is understandable. Throughout the litigation process we are partners in the pursuit of the best result that is achievable at the lowest cost. Where possible, fee arrangements are incentivized to reward effective results.
Litigation often requires creative, outside-the-box thinking. I pride myself on using creative approaches that involve, among other things, trying untested legal theories, alternative dispute resolution where appropriate, and novel resolutions to litigation. These suggested creative initiatives are shared with the client and ultimately are the product of client consensus.
